About the Role
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play an essential role in ensuring our customers receive top-tier support and guidance. You’ll be the first point of contact for both partners and direct clients, resolving technical issues while also identifying opportunities to drive greater value for our customers. With a focus on long-term growth and customer success, you’ll support both technical problem-solving and proactive business impact.
Note: This role does not involve phone support. All interactions are handled via chat and digital communication channels.
What You’ll Do
- Provide timely and effective customer support via chat, troubleshoot various technical issues related to our hosting service and fleet, and identify opportunities to recommend upgrades or best-fit solutions.
- Work closely with our development, infrastructure, and product teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Create and maintain documentation and helpful content to guide customers, ensuring information is clear, accessible, and valuable for users of different experience levels while also showcasing the value of our platform’s features.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and goals, offering proactive solutions, personalised recommendations, and upselling opportunities that enhance their experience with Servebolt.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements that optimize efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to enhancing both our support processes and customer satisfaction.
- Continuously enhance your understanding of our product and hosting industry trends to offer informed support and encourage innovation.
What We’re Looking For
We believe the right candidate is driven, technically adept, flexible, and a natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Here are some of the qualifications, traits and skills we’re looking for.
- The candidate has to be located in Europe.
- Background in web hosting (or similar fields) and hands-on experience with WordPress on a technical level.
- Familiarity with Linux, PHP, MySQL and internet infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
- A good understanding of web development practices.
- A logical thinker who can analyse issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Passionate about helping others, providing high-quality customer service, and going the extra mile for our partners and customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
- A flexible and adaptable team player, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a curiosity and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
